At Forest Hill, Boho is taking the final retail space available in a mixed-used development from Charles Bice and Birck Turnbull.

The project includes two buildings: one with 16 apartments and the other with 14,000 square feet of commercial space that’ll be occupied by Blanchard’s Coffee Roasting Co., Charm School Social Club, Stella’s Grocery and The Veil Brewing Co.

Boho Studios - a Richmond-based boutique fitness studio - is opening a location in The Hill Standard shopping center at 4910-4930 Forest Hill Ave., which is under construction.

Best business decision: “Expanding Boho. Expansion is always risky, but classes at our first cycle studio were packed and had long wait lists. The second cycle studio has been a huge success, and now we have ventured into a new way of promoting fitness.”

How Do You Excel is a mini-doc about Team Excel, a school program to help kids get into higher education. The program was founded by former NFL star Michael Robinson. The mini-doc showcases the impact that Team Excel has had on the lives of youth in Richmond Virginia.

That’s why BOHO Cycle Studio owner AnnMarie Grohs decided to go bold with her design when she opened doors: She wanted to stand out from the rest of the workout scene in the area. Their blue building with graffiti paintings is nicknamed Pool Party Blue and is well known about town.."

A local gym operator has cut the ribbon on her third location in the city.

Boho Fit Studio opened Jan. 19 at 127 W. Brookland Park Blvd. in the Brookland Park neighborhood.

The roughly 2,400-square-foot space is split between two main rooms: a yoga studio, and a cardio and strength training area. It also offers one-on-one personal training and Boho Core, which is the company’s health and nutrition coaching.

As it so happens, Meaghan's great friend is CBS 6 reporter Melissa Hipolit, who was so inspired by Meaghan's health lifestyle changes, that she reached out to Boho Cycle Studios.

The owner, AnnMarie Grohs, said she would be thrilled to help, and offered to give Meaghan a 3-month package to the studio for the summer for free.

So, Melissa set up a ruse and told Meaghan she got a couple free passes to Boho for a class.

When Meaghan showed up, Melissa came out from the back with cameraman Jason Hicks.

Meaghan was very surprised when Grohs handed her the free package.

The competitive local fitness industry is spreading into a Northside neighborhood, as one company readies its third spot in town.

Boho Studios has signed a lease to open a location at 125-127 W. Brookland Park Blvd.

The location will add to owner AnnMarie Grohs’ two other studios in Richmond – and her first that isn’t a spin studio.

A pet bath and spa, a ceramics and pottery studio and a boutique fitness studio have joined the lineup of businesses on Brookland Park Boulevard in Richmond’s North Side.

The owner of Boho Cycling Studio, AnnMarie makes it a point to go farther than she’s ever gone before. But, like, not just on special occasions. All the time.

BOHO Studios is opening BOHO Fit Studio at 127 West Brookland Park Blvd. in Richmond.

The Grand Opening of BOHO Fit Studio will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

The new location offers cardio and strength training classes, yoga and personal training.

BOHO Fit Studio classes will be 45 – 60 minutes and incorporate body weight, free weights, TRX and more. The classes will be full body workouts with some focusing on specific muscle groups. There will be one-on-one personal training available and additional space for yoga classes.

Located in downtown Richmond, this small cycle studio is a great place to go if you need to take a break from the same boring routine at the gym. It has awesome music, fun instructors and challenging workouts.

BOHO Cycle Studio, which opened in 2013 as an indoor cycling studio at 714 N. Sheppard St. in the Museum District, is now offering BOHOCore, a wellness program offering nutrition, exercise and lifestyle counseling.

AnnMarie Grohs, who owns the studio, said she started BOHOCore to provide customers with a more holistic fitness experience beyond her cycle studio, where participants use a stationary bike. “We know that everyone loves a good sweat session but when it comes to health on the inside, the fitness part and workout is just half of it,” she said. “We want to be able to offer that other part.”

“Boutique fitness is built around walking and neighborhoods,” said AnnMarie Grohs, who opened Boho Cycle Studio at 714 N. Sheppard St. in the Museum District in October 2013.

“Clients choose Boho because they want a personal connection to where they spend their time,” Grohs said. “We think of Boho like that show ‘Cheers,’ where everybody knows your name.”

Grohs plans to open a second location this summer at 2401 E. Marshall St. in the new Patrick Henry Square development in the trendy, walkable Church Hill neighborhood."
