I’m new to BOHO, what do I need to do before my first class?


Welcome, we are so excited to have you! We think you’re going to like it here. Prior to your first class, make sure you have registered online for a class that works for your schedule. If the class you want is full, please sign up for the waitlist. Covid-19 Vaccination is required to attend all, in the studio, BOHO classes. Read more on our Policies page.




Waitlist? Why do I have to do the waitlist?


Our classes at certain times can be so popular that people want to secure their spot. However, spots almost always open up for classes as life happens. While we know that a waitlist can be frustrating, there is nothing to fear about our waitlist. When a spot opens for a class, the waitlist will move a waitlist client into the class. You will receive an email or text message notification alerting you to your reserved spot! Once you have moved from the waitlist, you are considered reserved for a spot in the class. If you do not show or early cancel (at least 6 hours prior to class start time), you will either lose a class credit or be charged a late cancellation fee. The waitlist will add clients up to 6 hours before class time, so if a class is in the morning at 6:00 am, you could be added as late as 11:59 pm! To avoid a late cancellation, please remove yourself from the waitlist before you go to sleep for the night and check back when you wake up to see if a spot has opened up.




What happens if I have a late cancellation?


If you paid by Drop-In Rate, you will unfortunately lose the class. If you have purchased any of the 5, 10, or 20 class packages, you will unfortunately lose the class AND be charged a $10 fee. If you have purchased any of the Unlimited Packages (1, 3, 12 Month, or Yearly Pay in Full), you will unfortunately be charged a $15 fee. Late cancellations are no fun for anyone! Make sure you’re mindful of the classes you signed up for and cancel up to 6 hours in advance.




I’m registered and reserved! Where do I go and when do I arrive?


Congratulations, you’re about to move more. Check to see which location your class is being held. Our FIT Studio on Brookland Park Ave has HIIT, TRX, Strength, and Yoga workouts. Our Cycle Studio on N. Sheppard St. has all things spin. These locations are about 15 minutes away from each other, so make sure you have the right one! For the Cycle Studio, there is ample street parking on Sheppard St., Park Ave., Monument Ave., and Patterson Ave. We’re also fortunate to have a pretty sizable parking lot that is shared with the other businesses along Sheppard St., which is first come, first serve. For the FIT Studio there is ample street parking on Brookland Park Blvd., Hanes Ave., and the surrounding streets. There is unfortunately no parking lot, so plan accordingly! Regardless of studio, you want to make sure you arrive 15 minutes before the class start time. For our cycling classes, we want to get you comfortably fitted in some snappy Shimano spin shoes and help you set up the bike to customize it for your perfect fit. If you’re a returning client of BOHO (hey friend!), you need to check in at least 5 minutes before the start of class. At the 5-minute mark, bikes will be released to those on the waitlist and then walk-ins.




Wait, why do I need special shoes?


Our bikes have clip-in pedals, so regular gym shoes won’t work. Your first shoe rental is free ($2 rental fee, subsequently), so take advantage of your temporary gear! If you’re bringing your own shoes, our pedals are built for SPD clips or triple link. Unfortunately, this is not a Delta household.




Besides the spin shoes, what else are people wearing here?


Whatever makes them feel comfortable while exercising! We recommend anything that you can sweat in (like, a lot in) and to avoid loose clothing so it won’t get caught in the bike.




Ok, I know when and where to go and what to wear, but what do I bring?


For every class, a water bottle and open-minded attitude is necessary. The workouts won’t be easy, but as long as you’re willing to give the most that you can, you’re bound to have a good time. Because what we’re doing can be hard, hydration is key to an enjoyable, safe workout. We want you to be so hydrated, that we have 2-tiered water fountains at both locations, just waiting to fill your water bottle with refreshing H2O. If you’re a yogi, please bring your own yoga mat. But we get that life happens, so we have mats you can rent as well ($2 rental fee). Anything else you bring must be stored in the supplied lockers or cubbies. We have a staff member present at all times, so your personal items are safe with us.




Anything else I need to do before?


Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. This is a #SweatSession after all. And while we don’t recommend working out on a full stomach, make sure you have a snack to fuel your tank. If you have a hectic day and forget to eat something beforehand, we have healthy snacks at our studios. While our studios offer so much, we unfortunately do not offer showers or childcare. Please plan accordingly when scheduling your class.




This is a lot to remember, do you have a service that can give me a TL;DR of the imperative things?


Yes, we do! We offer both email and text message notifications that alert you of class sign ups and cancellations, the waitlist updates, last-minute instructor changes, and sales receipts.




Ok, I love this place, how do I get more classes and what are the policies?


We’re so glad to hear that! We offer different amounts of class packages and memberships to fit your budget and schedule. All class sales are final with no refunds.
