The Client Experience Associate is the first person who represents our studio for potential and current clients and is key in creating and maintaining the ideal BOHO experience and community. This role focuses on the following 3 areas of work: Sales, Customer Service and Studio Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Sales:
The Front Desk Associate will assist the manager with cultivating in studio sales with new memberships, class packages, and retail purchases.
Sell/Promote BOHO, which includes memberships, class packages, retail items, specialty events.
Encourage clients to participate in BOHO specialty events or promos.
Participate and promote any special events that BOHO is running or taking part.
Selling new client specials and promotions.
Customer Service: Must have a welcoming smile, an outgoing personality, and a willingness to want every client to succeed. The Front Desk associate is often the first person our clients see upon walking in the door and often times the first or last person they talk to in a day.
Greet and check in all clients upon arrival.
Assist clients with account maintenance, purchases, general FAQs, and more.
Assist all new clients with an introduction to BOHO and the class they are taking. Including but not limited to:
Assisting with equipment rentals (cycle shoes, yoga mat)
Assisting with workout station set up
Answering general questions regarding class packages, retail purchases, studio schedule or events.
Studio Operations: Operate a seamless check in process, pre-class client set up (cycle or fit studio), studio cleanliness. The ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment while keeping the BOHO experience top of mind.
Maintain studio cleanliness at check in and in studio pre/post classes, shift side work and general facility maintenance.
Participate in studio events outside of regular class time. The studio holds events roughly every other month. We ask you attend 1-2 a year in some capacity.
Attend ongoing professional development trainings and staff meetings quarterly.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to read, understand and communicate effectively in English.
Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
A high level of time management and organization skills.
Ability to learn and be proficient with Mindbody Online.
Capacity to work well within a team environment as well as self-manage when working on their own.
QUALIFICATIONS
A passion for fitness and motivating people to achieve their personal fitness goals.
An outgoing personality with the ability to command a space.
Has met minimum BOHO class attendance (5 BOHO classes).
Availability to work 2-6 shifts a week at any BOHO Studios location, depending on studio schedule needs.
Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Prior experience in a similar role helpful, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work and physically move quickly while resetting fitness studio between classes.
Be able to lift and move weights up to 45lbs, ability to lift and move fitness equipment around studios.
Ability to be standing and moving around the studio for up to 3 hours at a time regularly, up to 6 hours occasionally.

Our fitness instructors are responsible for maintaining our clients’ BOHO Studios experience while offering knowledgeable, consistent, enthusiastic instruction for our group class offerings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Instruct indoor cycle classes or group fitness classes.
Design playlists which fit within the BOHO format.
Design class workouts which fit within the BOHO format.
Arrive at least 15 minutes early to scheduled classes in order to properly set up and greet clients.
Make all clients feel welcome at BOHO.
Engage with clients before, during, and after class to ensure that their workout experience is unforgettable.
Offer assistance with bike set up.
Clearly communicate class format and specific movements etc.
Work with front desk team and managers to address any client needs or facility issues that pertain to your classes.
Be a BOHO Fan and promote upcoming events, challenges, sales to your classes
Substitute for classes outside of your schedule on an as needed basis with other team members are out.
Participate in studio events outside of regular class time. The studio holds events roughly every other month. We ask you attend 1-2 a year in some capacity.
Promote yourself, your classes and other BOHO Studios on social media, etc.
Contribute ideas for themed classes, studios events, and promotions during staff meetings and in communications with studio management.
Attend ongoing professional development trainings and staff meetings quarterly.
Other duties as assigned.
Maintain up-to-date, valid fitness certification respective to the classes being taught.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, understand and communicate effectively in English.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, muscular function, exercise program implementation, safe group exercise or instructional procedures, and use of related class materials and/or equipment. Ability to command a room and comfortably address a group of people.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to think on your feet, problem solve all while maintaining the BOHO experience.
Ability to demonstrate all fitness exercises, including high-impact cardio exercises, for clients during class. Examples include but are not limited to; Jump Squats, Burpees, Plyo Step-Ups, Jumping Jacks.
QUALIFICATIONS
A passion for fitness and motivating people to achieve their personal fitness goals.
An outgoing personality who likes to “work the room” to create the BOHO experience.
Completion of BOHO Instructor Training and minimum class attendance*
We hold a 4-6 week training program for interested instructor applicants 1-2 times a year. This program is designed for applicants of all experience levels.
Minimum class attendance prior to application:
Cycle Studio Instructor: Attend 10 cycle classes prior to application.
Fit Studio Instructor: Attend 6 classes – Fit Studio specific.
Availability to substitute for classes outside of your schedule on an as-needed basis with other team members are out.
Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching group fitness classes, TRX, HIIT or bootcamp format.
Experience teaching indoor cycle.
Experience as a personal trainer/possession of a current personal training certification.
Experience teaching group yoga classes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to be standing and moving around for 75mins at a time while teaching classes.
A high level of cardio conditioning.
Ability to maintain a high-intensity energy level while teaching up to 75mins.
Ability to lift up to 45lbs.

Certified Personal Trainer for BOHO Quad location
BOHO Studios is Richmond's premier boutique fitness studio. We offer indoor cycling, HIIT and circuit training classes, personal training, and yoga. Our Quad Studio is our dedicated personal training studio where we provide goal-driven results to every client. We strive to help our clients reach their goals, no matter how big or small, through fitness, education, and accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
All BOHO Studios Personal Trainers are expected to develop and create personalized, results-driven workouts and training programs for each individual client. You are expected to use safe training methods and research-based program design that is supported by leading organizations in the industry.
CLIENT MANAGEMENT + ENGAGEMENT :
You manage your training schedule with clients to maximize time and your clients’ goals. This includes:
offering set training day(s) each week
knowledge of your clients travels to adjust sessions
managing your time off schedule and provide clients with another option for their weekly workouts.
The ability to keep your clients engaged in their training and goals is a must. Providing custom information, exciting workouts, a motivational coaching style, and fun training environment create the overall client experience.
SALES + PROMOTIONS:
What package is best for which client - sell it! Ensuring clients are re-upping their sessions before they run out.
Promoting you and BOHO Quad personal training via social media, networking events, social hours, etc. with the goal to bring in new clients monthly.
Promoting BOHO Studios as a whole, CYCLE, FIT, QUAD, with all clients to attend events, client socials, and community.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, understand and communicate effectively in English. Spanish a bonus.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, muscular function, exercise program implementation, safe group exercise or instructional procedures, and use of training equipment.
Ability to command a room and comfortably address a group of people.

Personal Training Certification from national recognized training organization.
ie NASM, IFFA, ACE, etc.
CPR Certification from nationally recognized organization.
Ability to manage 4-6+ person client load throughout the week. Flexible availability preferred.
Maintain up-to-date, valid fitness certifications, CPT continuing education, and CPR.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to be standing and moving around for 60-75mins at a time.
Ability to demonstrate exercise for clients of all fitness levels.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Job Type: Part-time. Appointment based training.

Instructor Training Requirements:

Cycle instructors must attend 10 cycle classes prior to training.

Fit instructors must attend 6 Fit classes prior to training.

Submission of an Instructor Training Application.

Previous experience teaching group fitness is preferred but not required.

Completion of an audition and in-person interview.

Attendance of BOHO’s 4-6 Week Training Boot Camp. (Some flexibility.)

CPR certification is required upon hire, and additional fitness certifications (cycle, group fitness, personal training, yoga, etc.) are required within three months of the hire date.
